What is Forever Reins





Forever Reins provides activities for individuals with various life challenges. 

1. Potential participants should complete the application found on the "Participant Application" page. 
2. Following the Application process, participants will be scheduled for a pre-visit to Forever Reins.
3. Participants who are enrolled in a 10 week session will be notified and a schedule will be arranged.
4. Participants are expected to help in fundraising efforts.

Activities include but are not limited to:

Horse back riding with various games and sensory activities
Horse grooming and tacking
Feeding and water all animals
Gardening
Arts and Crafts
 

The Benefits of equine-assisted activities include:

Improved balance, strengthened muscles,
improved coordination, faster reflexes, stretching
tight or spastic muscles, decreased spasticity,
increased range of motion of the joints and sensory
integration
 
Increased sense of well- being, improved self-confidence,
emotional control and self- discipline,
and a sense of normality.

Development of friendships, respect and love of
animals, and increased life experiences.
 
Equine –assisted activities focus on, but are not
limited to: learning challenges, ADHD/ADD,
Autism, Cerebral Palsy, emotional challenges,
hearing impairment, intellectual challenges,
Down syndrome, developmental delays,
Fibromyalgia syndrome, visual impairments,
communication disorders, and many others.
